From learning to fly to various escapades to family tales, each one will have you grinning with delight as he recounts past exploits.
Each one is a bite sized, but after a while you will find yourself racing on to read the next story just to find out if it can top the last one.
An excellent read, and well recommended for everyone to either dip into now and again, or read in one sitting.

Rating: I laughed out loud, and there aren't many books that make me do that.
This collection of Joel Elman's short stories is an excellent anthology of all the little things that can go awry when flying, particularly when flying other people (or animals).
These were previously professionally published in a variety of magazines and it shows in the excellent quality. The stories are very short, very readable, and in theory the book is ideal to dip in and out of. However, once you start reading you are unlikely to want to stop.
Absolutely hilarious reading, and a book that non-aviators can enjoy as well.
